Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a network of receptors spread throughout our entire body that controls some of our most vital life functions including our immune system, memory, appetite, sleep pattern, mood and pain sensation.

The endocannabinoid system works to maintain homeostasis by utilizing cannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors found throughout the immune system and central and peripheral nervous systems. When an imbalance is detected, the body naturally synthesizes cannabinoids to interact with the cannabinoid receptors, which in turn stimulate a chemical response that works to return the physiological process that is out of balance back to homeostasis. Cannabinoids are what allow communication and coordination between different cell types.

The body naturally synthesizes cannabinoids on demand, but continued research suggests that in some cases not enough cannabinoids are created for the endocannabinoid system to work effectively. In these cases, researchers have found evidence that supplementing with phytocannabinoids, such as CBD, may help the endocannabinoid system to function properly and lead to improved health.

The tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes.

To survive, grow and function, organisms must be able to maintain stable internal environments. Uncorrected disturbances to equilibrium can lead to health problems, ranging from minor symptoms like headaches to more serious diseases like cancer.

Diseases like arthritis, epilepsy, stroke, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and glaucoma are some of the conditions that have been linked to a loss of balance. Whether or not the body is able to adjust to changes and effectively maintain homeostasis directly impacts the likelihood that a disease will develop.

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a naturally occurring plant cannabinoid in hemp, and is among the most abundant of all the cannabinoids. It’s found in all varieties of cannabis, but dominates the makeup of hemp plants. Cannabidiol is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in hemp and cannabis plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract.

Studies have shown that cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive and offers anti-inflammatory, neuro-protectant and analgesic benefits. Therefore, consuming CBD won’t ever cause an impairment or temporarily inhibit cognitive functions. This makes cannabidiol an appealing natural alternative for relief from pain and anxiety.

Cannabinoids are active chemical compounds found naturally in the seeds, stalk and flowers of hemp plants. Phytocannabinoids, a term used to describe cannabinoids derived from plants, and are able to interact with our body’s natural systems because their makeups and behaviors mimic endocannabinoids, which are cannabinoids that are synthesized on demand by our own bodies.

Our bodies are set up to interact with cannabinoids. Both phytocannabinoids and endocannabinoids join with or influence cannabinoid receptors throughout the body to alter the release of neurotransmitters and encourage balance in our systems, homeostasis. Cannabinoids are largely responsible for the natural effects hemp extracts have on the body.

Thousands of scientific studies suggest that cannabidiol may hold a wide array of potential benefits. Cannabidoil has been shown in a patent by the U.S. National Institutes of Health to possess significant and antioxidant and neuroprotective properties, suggesting that it could be beneficial for treating neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s disease or multiple sclerosis. Several studies have also found CBD to be effective for reducing pain, depression, anxiety, and inflammation.

Our Cannabidiol is made from legal hemp.

It depends on who you ask. Cannabis and all cannabinoid-based products are listed as schedule 1 controlled substances. This basically means that all cannabis related products are illegal on a Federal level.

Nevertheless, individual states have passed laws permitting the use of cannabis or cannabis oil. Each state has its own laws and regulations. For example, California is a recreational state, meaning that it can be used by state residents. Other states have permitted the use of CBD oil only for specific medical conditions.

  • There are 6 states where cannabidiol is COMPLETELY illegal because all forms of cannabis are illegal in those states: Idaho, South Dakota, West Virginia, Nebraska, Kansas, and Indiana. For those of you who unfortunately live in these states, using Cannabdiol will be at your own risk. While this is not legal advice, law enforcement are not targeting people who use CBD for personal use.

Hemp cannabidiol Oil is a different story. According to drugpolicy.org, products made from cannabis Ruderalis (or hemp), ” does not contain CBD in a high enough concentration to have a therapeutic effect.” Therefore in certain cases it is legal and can be shipped to all 50 states.

Keep in mind, these conclusions are based on limited studies. Many people all over the United States have been using Cannabinoids and Cannabis for medical reasons. Doctors are increasingly prescribing cannabinoids for medical reasons such as relieving pain in cancer patients.

It is prescribed for its ability to:

  • Alleviate pain
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Stimulate appetite
  • Control nausea and vomiting

We only use cannabidiol derived from hemp plants.

No, CBD does not contain any THC, which is the chemical that impairs functionality. All of our products use high quality hemp CBD extract which contains none to less than .03% psychoactive (THC) parts.

It doesn’t not get you high.

CBD, is just one of multiple compounds called cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are found in many types of plants but are common in cannabis.  CBD Cannabinoid is not psychoactive and helps block the body from absorbing anandamide, a compound associated with regulating pain. CBD increases the levels of anandamide in the bloodstream and may reduce the amount of pain a person feels.

Studies suggest Cannabidiol may also reduce inflammation in the brain and nervous system, which may benefit people experiencing pain, insomnia, and certain immune-system responses.

For instance, CBD stops the body from absorbing anandamide, one compound associated with regulating pain. Increased levels of anandamide in the bloodstream may reduce the amount of pain a person feels.

No, Cannabdiol (CBD) will not show up on a standard drug test (testing for Tetrahydrocannabinol [THC] )*.

*According to USDrugTestCenters.com, you would have to consume 2000mg of CBD Hemp extract just to get a residual trace amount to fail a drug test. This is equivalent to over a month’s supply of cbd oil in one day. A standard drug test checks for THC, not CBD.

It’s important to state that as of currently no scientific research has certified that CBD, in any form, can cure diseases. However, there are numerous case studies and testimonials from patients who have claimed that it has helped them with the following conditions:

Anorexia, Anxiety, Arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, Asthma, Bipolar disorder, Cancer, Cardiovascular disorders, Chronic pain, Depression, Epilepsy (seizures), Glaucoma, Huntington’s disease, Inflammation, Insomnia, Multiple Sclerosis, Nausea (emesis), Obesity, Parkinson’s Disease, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Schizophrenia, and Tourette’s syndrome

As of 6/25/18, the FDA approved EPIDIOLEX, a drug used to treat linux gas and dravet syndrome, two rare devastating forms of epilepsy – derived from CBD. This approval serves as a reminder that the advancing sound development can lead to important medical therapies. This will be the first of many new drugs approved by the FDA. The FDA is committed to . SCBD oil is a medicine for some. CBD is a chemical component of the cannabis sativa plant, more commonly known as marijuana, cbd does not cause intoxication or euphoria (the high) that comes from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It is THC (and not CBD) that is the primary psychoactive component of marijuana.

In simple terms, CO2 cannabis extraction uses pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2) to pull Cannabidiol (and other phytochemicals) from the plant. CO2 acts like a solvent at certain tempetures and pressures but doesn’t pose any of the dangers. While it is safe and effective, it does involve extremely expensive equipment. These machines freeze the CO2 gas and compress it into a supercritical cold liquid state which helps extract the cannabidiol safely.
